Kansas City Zoo animals are more alert early in the morning and beginning Saturday officials are opening the doors at 8 a.m. to let visitors in. Summer hours at the zoo will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekends. These hours will remain in effect through Labor Day.
